Didn't watch the video, I will after listening to Tariq's live stream but it's not just black women who need to learn to love their hair but black men need to learn to love our hair as well. As much as women hate to admit it, men's opinions (especially in our own community) mean a lot to us and never hearing anything positive about our natural hair and praising the western standard of beauty, it's hard to find that confidence within and do whatever you want to do.

I'm just glad that I have that support system but I've heard lots of men say they don't like "nappy" hair aka my texture.

I saw on here the other day. "I don't do the nappy look".

But nikkas be knowin though. They know what to do with they hair. Got bytches wearin the same weave for 4 months :scusthov: neglectin the shyt underneath then complainin that it dont be growin.

:snoop: I hate that so much. Women will spend hundreds of dollars for the weave and hundreds of dollars for the maintenance of it. Have that shyt washed, cowashed, conditioned and deep conditioned or a strict regimen but their hair ain't seen a drop of water or moisturizer in months.

Black women can't even have a natural hairstyle for certain types of jobs... white coworkers will be looking like :merchant:

When I start a new job, I kept my hair in a bun for like a month and a half then. *Pow* Surprise bytches! :lolbron: Look at this lion's mane.

Lure them into a false sense* of tamed hair security :win:

At the beginning of mean streets
:snoop: I hate that so much. Women will spend hundreds of dollars for the weave and hundreds of dollars for the maintenance of it. Have that shyt washed, cowashed, conditioned and deep conditioned or a strict regimen but their hair ain't seen a drop of water or moisturizer in months.

I went to a salon recently to get my ends trimmed, this chick got her weave taken off the stylist asked her when the last time she washed her hair was and she said 4 months ago. :snoop:

1. Men will take better care of their hair because they don't a). Wear it as long as women and b). Manipulate it as often or as much.

2. Men will be more proud to rock it because it was never that big of a contention as hair is for women. Hair is a major part of a women's identity regardless of ethnicity.

Have you ever met Rastas/dreadheads? They be growin that shyt out all the way to the ground, are you kidding me? :why: (Plus it's against their religion to not have dreads) I agree with your second point however it is our responsibility as a community to encourage self-love. In my experience, it's always been women who've chastised me for not adhering to Eurocentric beauty ideals by not wearing perms or weaves. I can't speak for anyone else. If more black women supported each other and went back to the 70s blow outs, a lot less women would be afraid to rock they own shyt. That, plus the fact that are completely lost when it comes to caring for they own hair.

Yeah, I'm not black cuz I don't sit around discussing weave :rudy:
Probably. If you never noticed a bytches fukked up weave or wondered if a bytch hair was fake. You're probably a queer, but I'm going with you're a non negroid.

I will say one thing tho. Healthy hair whether it's relaxed or natural is starting to become a movement at least amongst educated black women. It's those hoodrats that's still using grease :scusthov:

Now I'm not gonna lie, I wear weave time to time, probably about like for a month at a time and wear my hair out for about two months. And weave has helped my hair grow from the low manipulating. I wash and deep condition and braid it back up under the cap and now MY hair is as long and thick as ever :ahh:. I had to cut about five inches because I botched tryna color my hair :damn:.
