Not necessarily the same. That's more like the style of the hair and not the actual hair itself.
That's where the issue arises. Why must these black women stress the actual hair itself.

We are already are in a time where our race and every part of it from our skin, to hair and even culture is being looked down upon. We are still in the fight for equality.

This weave shyt isn't helping.

When has a white/asian woman ever put product int heir hair to make it as curly and tough as black women's hair and sold/promoted it as much as they do their own hair? :leostare:

Asians love locs and fros bro don't get it twisted

There's also a whole youtube trend of white girls trying to get afros

Now I will agree and say it's not a majority thing but it is out there.

I don't care how messed up your real hair is under another hair hat. Thats not my problem. Thats on you.

So you saying you don't care about the health of hair?
You lying. If a woman's hair was matted and haven't been washed in ages you wouldn't even glance her way.

.

Its up to women to stand up for themselves. nikkas are gonna adapt to the standards YOU set, not the other way around.

Some nikkas. Let's be honest MAYBE NOT YOU but if every black woman on the planet went natural, most dudes would choose the looser curl pattern having women. This has been made clear.

You admit to being indoctrinated, yet you still submit to it.

You're a dumbass.

To be completely honest, I tried going natural. But where the relaxer met the natural hair would break off. Although black women will justify wearing weaves I'm positive that the fact we do and relax our hair sits in the back of our minds. In fact, most women I know who wear weaves are 100% natural underneath. They may just want their hair to reach a certain length or thickness before they wear it out. So yeah I'll be the first to admit indoctrination, but isn't that the first step of getting past it?

You're bullshytting.

Why are you talking about "identity" when you're stealing other people's image of identity and sense of self?

Yeah, as a black women it would make me soooo happy if I were to wake up one day as why woman which it totally true since I wear weave. I love culture appropriating :blessed:.

It's not that serious to me to be honest. I didn't think weave was this serious to men until I got on the coli either.[/quote]

Before when I was ignorant to the hair styling process it didn't really bother me that they wore weaves and hair hats because I didn't know how to tell if it was a hair hat. I guess that's why they say ignorance is bliss. :manny:

But now that I've become aware of the hair hats and weaves it does bother me.:scusthov: It's like finding out as a kid that wrestling was fake, or Santa Claus isn't real. You'll keep watching but in the back of your mind your like :shaq2: That's basically how I feel about weaves. You'll keep fukking but in the back of your head you like  Alot of them look awful, they smell and they look unnatural on black women's heads. Black women have the most unique and versatile hair on the planet and yet they still wanna wear other people's hair and hide their own, how is that not a form of self hate? Now I admit at the end of the day I still am a man who is a visual creature so as long as the chick looks good with the weave I ain't gonna complain that much but I honestly if I had a choice would much rather have a natural haired woman. Somebody said in this thread that nikkas don't like weaves, "we adapt or tolerate them". And that's nothing but the truth.

Are you really this fukking stupid?

The health of a woman's hair has and says nothing about how she styles it.

You're making that assumption based on images and predilections you admit you've been trained to prefer.

Women determine the market, not men.

To be completely honest, I tried going natural. But where the relaxer met the natural hair would break off. More bullshyt rationalizations.

Its your hair.

Wear it.

And if you're hiding it, what are you really doing in return? Pretending to be someone else? :childplease:

Self hate at its finest.

It's not that serious to me to be honest. I didn't think weave was this serious to men until I got on the coli either.

ITS NOT YOUR HAIR. :snoop:

Its not even your GENETIC hair. :snoop:

I can't stand that dude. Everything he says comes from such a hate filled place. His prospective is so limited and ignorant. The argument that BW only wear weaves b/c of shame or to imitate other races is so silly and antiquated.

Yes there are women who wear weaves b/c of shame but saying that is the only reason is dismissive of the creativity that BP express threw their hair.

The same chick who I see rocking the 30inch remy will have on a curly bob next week and Marley twists the week after that. This supposed shame ever BW with a weave has doesn't take into a account the varies of styles that weave is worn in. Last I checked WW, AW and whoever else aren't walking around with half the styles BW are wearing with their weaves.

Changing up your hair is fun and one of the benefits of being a woman; especially a BW. Weaves today represent expression and versatility. They are also a way to protect your own hair from styling.

These are some typically weaves. With the exception to the last picture there is nothing White or Asian about these (meaning you will typically not see them with this style.) So why are they a representation of imatation?

Anyway, not to go to hard on the subject but I understand why someone wouldn't like weaves...I mean a lot do look silly and/or are not well cared for but it's an art and everyone is not an artist.

And WW and AW don't (mostly) wear weave b/c they can't. Their hair can't even hold a braid and their hair is greasy in 2 days. So the styles that BW wear are not even a possibility for them. But they are finding ways to get on board with their fusion and clip ins.

And yes I love natural hair. But I don't see the problem with a little variety.

I guess I'm in the minority that doesn't give a damn about a woman's hair. As long as it doesn't look a mess.

My only problen with weave is that some women feel less of a woman without it. So they abuse neglect their real hair and have no choice but to wear a "Hair hat"
