It is because of religion. the reason they tell themselves that people can't be born gay is because it would put doubt in their own faith. like why would my oh so holy, all knowing, just and divine "god", the creator of all things, make something he specifically deems sinful. thus telling themselves they weren't born like that, and that some one( the devil?) or some event caused them to be gay. if you don't agree with me you're either

Attraction isn't a choice, it's an involuntary reaction. You don't say damn I'm gonna find that girl hot, you just do. It's who you are. Gays/lesbians are no different. They didn't decide to be attracted to their own sex, they are, and that is most likely something they were born with, just as straight people never decided or chose to be straight, they just are.
