You definitely ain’t listen to his love lost album

shyt was like rap rnb
I did and even then it was outdated. There so many elements to music creation. It's like 50, he couldn't produce a song today due to his voice. Voice, Flow, Cadence

Educate me breh, name a rapper whose similar to Joe whose music is popping? Listen to Fabulous, Jay - all changed their sound overtime to fit today narrative, Joe's not doing that

His core audience is the only one who wants more music from him, he knew that and made the right decision to put the pen down

:mjcry: I do!

ARE YOU IN THAT MOOD YET???!!!

He's been my number 2 MC since Mood Muzik 2 dropped

Yes has a joe budden fan you want his music but in today climate, nikkas will not play his shyt. He'd have to dumb down his sound like Fab or heavily collab to mask his dated sound.

I fukk with mood muzik but Joe knew he had to hang it up, his style of rap doesn't exist on a large platform

Artists shouldn’t chase the current sound

Artists shouldn’t chase the current sound

They shouldn't and artist shouldn't but guess what works most of the time?

Joe just has such a distinctive sound that will not date well today, and his every decision has always been a head of the curve..

I also appreciate rappers retiring, leave at the cliff of your music potential, that subpar shyt is great for us fans but finding a way out in such a nasty industry for those brothers after a certain amount of accomplishment is good also

Joe seems more happier today than in the past, finding himself. What is he gonna rap about anyways. His not dropping a 4:44 album, until his goals with giving artist a real voice and stopping artist from committing to dangerous greedy labels

Just look at Kendrick, everything he has dropped is good but when is the fall off period. c00nye should of quit after Watch the Throne, more rappers need to be in the mind state to retire one day. You can express your message in many more ways than music..

As long as an artists makes music that his fans find appealing that’s all that matters

Joe was never a hits artist but he had a fan base

Can’t listen I’m at work

But if this is the shyt where he says I live in New York, rapping ain’t enough for me

Then that’s a separate issue
I understand why he left the industry and I enjoy the shyt he puts out

But to say he needed to leave and he wasn’t making good music is just not true

Rage against the Machine was trash tho

Budden never wanted to sign to a major, he explained how he felt on this song from their mixtape back in 2012

[Verse 4: Joe Budden]
Thought we were defying the odds, I thought that we weathered the storm
I thought that we'd travel the same road, I thought that we’d never conform
Don’t tell me you b*stards tricked me, don’t tell me that I was just wrong
'Cause now I'm maskin', it gets to me whenever we 'bout to perform
Though we was about to heat up, it’s taking a while to get warm
If not for the fact that I love you nikkas, and we all get along
I swear I'd been got
Thought we could all see the writin' on the wall
Now I’m disheveled, we was rebels, it ain’t as exciting as before

Maybe the fact that I been solo so long has kinda spoiled me
Or when I’m annoyed do I try to avoid becoming a victim of loyalty?
We was so cutting edge— (yeah)
—my address is this fukking ledge

Won’t be unhappy, I know how I get when in this state
If I let her fukk me this time it'll be considered rape
We were saviours on our own terms, I’ve learned
If any three of you have wavered let me know so I can wave good... nah

Honestly I don’t even know why Budden formed the group in the first place. That’s when I slowly stopped listening to his music.
