admittedly i've never listened to an adele song or katy perry song in its entirety, but i'm having a hard time believing that there is such a gap in lyricism between bruno and his contemporaries...i haven't heard a pop/r&b song in years that had anything more than rudimentary lyrics

it isn't a bad thing, i just don't see any other modern pop artists making songs with groundbreaking lyrics either
