I've never seen a player make more dumb moves in my life when it comes to taking advantage of the collective bargaining agreement.
In Denver, instead of waiting until 2010 he extended too soon.
Then instead of waiting until 2011, he forced his way out of Denver all while taking away any leverage the Knicks had which forced them to give up too many players.
Then he extends with the Knicks even though Phil Jackson openly criticized him BEFORE he came to the Knicks. He could've signed with the Bulls for a few years before hitting free agency again.
Now he finds himself on a Knicks team in disarray with now plan going forward. Melo's presence has also prevented the Knicks from fully rebuilding. He forced out Phil (Phil needed to go anyway), now all of a sudden he wants to be traded
Melo is on the wrong side of 30 with a contract nobody wants. He's an asset that's depreciated so no team is willing to give up any significant assets in return for his services. IF Melo wants to leave, he should accept a buy out from the Knicks. And as far as the Knicks are concerned, they need to just let him go. They will never get back any fair value and he's already cost them more to get him which they will never get back as well.
Not even ONE eastern conference finals they whole time his bytch ass been in New York
