You can gear beyond intra-day trading. You can gear for any type of security or asset.

You also have other sources for borrowing funds besides a margin account depending on how financially savvy the investor is.

I use:

Acorns for ETFs
Oanda for FOREX
Coinbase for crypto
Just2Trade and RobinHood for stocks.

Looking at Vanguard to rollover into.

Still seeking decent platforms for bonds and futures.

RobinHood is free. Acorns is $1 a month unless $5,000 or greater.
Coinbase is as to fees.

Oanda and Just2Trade are reasonable.
