I don't see why churches/religious institutions shouldn't be taxed on income that isn't given away to non-profits.

This. I'm deeply committed to Jesus and I belong to a church and I think religion is basically a good thing...but the church should pay taxes on everything except for charity work. Whatever they're collecting for salaries, buildings, operating expenses, etc. should be taxed.

Honestly I think a lot of other things should be taxed too. Concert halls, art museums, private colleges, social clubs like Rotary, none of that shyt should be tax-exempt either unless you're really explicitly providing a general public service and not primarily serving the rich.

Gang violence...
in 2021 i dont understand why people think they should be able to restrict rights from a whole other grown person. you dont have to support or partake, but why actively restrict something that has no impact on you?

and religious institutions should be taxed. they benefit from public spending and often provide a lifestyle above subsistence for the executives of the institution.
