Had a cotton one(or what ever its called), it was terrible. My last one was a weighted cable and I lost it. It was ok but from what I'm reading it was wrong for speed and agility. It just seemed cool at the time.

What are the best for speed and agility? Reasonably priced.

I got this digital one. Tells you how many rotations you have done, time spent actually skipping and supposedly how many calories burnt. i do about 1300 rotations when I skip. About 14 minutes skipping time.

I use a buddy lee rope, and have been for years. It's dependable, fast, and extremely smooth when jumping. It's one of the first ropes I used when I first boxed. You can search for buddy lee videos on youtube - the dude who created the rope is pretty sick wit it...
