Tell me what I should look for...I got a Macbook with 128 GB, should I go for 500 GB or 1 TB?? Does cheap matter when it comes to these?

Get a WD. They're the best, in my opinion. Make sure you get the one for macs though. The PC ones don't work with macs for some reason.
Quality matters, and get a big external. I got a 6tb for $179 a few weeks ago.

I got $90 for a WD 2 GB HDD and a carrying case, what about that
you can get it cheaper, if you wait. Seagate is trash, try to stay away unless you absolutely need to (like me...it's the only external that works on both a mac and pc)
Edit: Nevermind, Mac externals cost more. $90 is actually a good deal for a 2tb wd mac external

The PC ones do work on Mac. I got a 6tb wd and it works on there you just have to format it.
