I need help picking out a new router

Looking for wireless router since signing up for comcast(docsis 3.0 obv). The main problem with the router I'm using at the moment(theirs) is that it kicks out all the time and it doesn't seem to support more than one one getting on the same connection for long. I need something that can support up to 4 users, and has a stable connection that rarely drops. Not looking for anything too high spect , just have a decent 25mpbs service that I want to get the most out of. Basically, I want something that's stable more than high spec. Anything under $ that fits this desciption?

I already went ahead and copped a router. Netgear N450. I got 4 people in the house, 3 of which use wireless. My place is a normal 2 story. I'm the only gamer.

You can probably get a WRT54G with that low requirement... have you tried updating the firmware on your current router?

Asus ac2400 rt-ac87u super fast speed, great protection, and the range on this thing is beast. It's expensive but well worth it.
