I'm still trying to wrap my head around this

The Coli agrees that Hakeem was superior to duncan on both offense and defense, yet somehow duncan is better

Dudes will take all types of shyts on the 90's, then claim hakeem's the goat for shaking drob and spinning on ewing:bryan:and winning 2 rings in the watered down 90s after jordan retired:skip:

Now the nikka was leading the league in steals :dead:

I can see why. Duncan did it for longer...Dream was washed earlier than Duncan who is still adding to his legacy at 39..

I understand the point OP has desperately tried to make but historically, in the modern day NBA, who are you taking above Hakeem at the C position? I'll give you Shaq but who else? Hakeem is a top 10 player all time point, blank period.

the red point and the blue point are not directly correlated

all because you would take hakeem over anyone but shaq in the modern nba, doesn't make him a top ten player.

Centers i've seen that I would take above him:

Shaq

Centers historically that are ON PAPER better:

moses malone
Kareem abdul Jabaar
wilt chamberlain
Bill russell

even if I take russell out of the equation, he is the 5th best center i'd rank, and I haven't even added guards or forwards...he is not a top ten player all time, don't try to do some "point blank period final end thread thats a fact unarguable" garbage on me

i read that like :wtf:

Steals
1988-89 NBA 213 (3)
1989-90 NBA 174 (7)
Career NBA 2162 (8)
Career 2162 (9)

so for two years he was in the top ten for steals and had about 100-175 steals a year. Great job for a center. HE DIDN'T LEAD THE LEAGUE IN STEALS :russ:

He led the league in rebounding blocks and was top 5 i steals in '90 I believe...

That year was crazy.. Jordan led the league in steals and Pippen was #2 behind him and they still got washed by the Pistons..

After Hakeem lead the league in rebounding and blocks while averaging 24 ppg he still didn't make first team all NBA at center...

No disrespect but you have your opinion and I have mine. You'd be hard pressed to find a hardcore NBA fan who wouldn't have Hakeem in their top 10. Its hard for me to count guys like Bill and even Wilt because they dominated in an era where they had no opposition. The only reason why I put Wilt in my top 10 is because he literally changed the game and the way it was officiated. Plus he was built like a greek God athletically and physically. Moses Malone wasn't better than Hakeem by any stretch. Kareem played with HOFersbut he was still dominant in his day. I noticed you said "ON PAPER" too. What do you mean by that?

explain the 2 bolded points.

and on paper means "i didn't watch them live but based on what i have seen and accolades i'd take them over what I have seen over hakeem"

Moses, albeit a great player, was not the force offensively or defensively that Hakeem was and thats saying something because he was a force in his day. But when you compare the two, Hakeem is clearly better. Moses, to me was the better overall rebounder, but thats all he has on Hakeem really. As for Kareem, its a toss up. I was merely explaining why I have Olajuwon over Jabbar on my top 10 list. Jabbar played with Magic and Worthy and even Oscar Robertson when he was a Buck. Hakeem did much more with way less in my opinion.
