“Hey man, how many sets you have left?”

Him: “:birdman:50”
There’s this one dikkhead at my gym that does shoulder presses in the squat rack, then runs over to the smith machine to do more shoulder presses. Then runs over to the pec deck machine. Then he stands 6 inches in front of the dumbbell rack to do biceps curls. All of this with shytty ass form. He’s lean. But he’s not especially BIG or muscular. But because he’s effectively getting a cardio workout from going to station to station he looks fit.

Candidly I’ve never had a personal issue with the guy. But it’s pretty annoying, or at least, eye-roll inducing to watch this jerkoff do this shyt. Every day.

Is there ONE video on social media or YouTube where someone is NOT trying to sell us something..?

Was inspired until I read “DM Coach to get started”

Edit: on further thought, every Black man should get as much $ as possible.

Modern Internet is one big advertisement. Everyone and everything is trying to capture our attention in order to sell us something.

if black folk had pride in themselves and adopted a spartan mentality.

we can all get like this

its crazy, we have the strongest vitality, but we dont want to harness it fully

what a funky way to move
Well hold up...Black men naturally muscle up pretty quick with moderate exercise. Legit. I dont know about big boned dudes..they gotta focus on cardio and eating lean protein and greens. But under 40..a ton of water and lean chicken breast are your friends.

More power to him, but I'd rather focus on cardio, flexibility, mobility, and size, rather than explosiveness at 40. Sure, it's a great thing to have, but what use is it at that age unless you're playing a sport?

His body is conditioned for sure, but he's also increasing the risk for a serious injury as well.
Explosiveness is useful when throwing punches and kicks. But yeah at 40 you really shouldn't be fighting very often. Having strength with some technique is enough. Plus the risk of injury doing all these explosive movements is much higher. Nobody tryna be sidelined living off workers comp at 40 cuz they wanted to try and become prime Russell Westbrook lol

:sadcam: i need a consistent workout i can do..

I've always had issues breathing while working out that's why i avoid it. like basic pushups and i can't breath, not due to being flabby and sick but i don't know how to breath while working out. I just hold my breath while doing pushups :manny:

fukk this guy.
Because I’ve seen this dude in every gym.

He’s the a$$hole that no matter what day of the week it is, he’s on 14 different machines.
How do you deal with a dude like this..?

Today I was doing some free weight work (curls, military press) in front of the mirror at the gym and some dude behind me is waving his arms.

Turns out he wants to see himself while he is working out too.

So I take a step to the left. Dude doesn’t even smile or nod thanks. Some people have no gym manners.

Pathetic.

Late 30s/early 40s is usually the biggest separator where you’ll see the effects of your lifestyle over a lifetime. If you had good habits from early on, your body is gonna be fine and work at whatever level you trained it to. But if you had bad habits in your life, around mid to late 30s is where you are REALLY going to see a downhill slope. That’s when the drinking and bad eating and smoking and wasting time will catch up to you.
💯

I woke up at 530 this morning and drove to the gym in the rain.

At a certain point it stops being about looks and the focus is on health. Just being able to move and function properly and comfortably. If folks stay on track, you really shouldn’t look bad past 30.

It’s the sedentary lifestyle that creeps up on us. That combined with a poor diet and it’s a wrap.

I’m trying to do 7 days this week, but that might be too much lol I hit the gym 5 days last week and, when the soreness subsided, I felt amazing.

Yea the gym is where you’ll find true stupidity or ego. I’ve come across enough couples taking selfies in the aerobics room with tripods meanwhile I’m just in the background sweating
