mayer is a virtuoso on guitar. he is so much more talented than dave matthews as a musician. matthews is better songwriter though, but I can't stand his music enough to listen to his songs, nor mayer for that matter really, but he at least had few songs I liked at one point, but pretty much just for the guitar playing.
