Republicans can't convince black people to vote for them because the racist whites would feel betrayed if they changed how they campaigned. So the only solution is to disenfranchise black voters. You do it by making them feel like their vote doesn't matter, or voting in general doesn't matter. You do it by sending them misinformation, like telling them they'll get picked up on warrants or unpaid tickets if they vote, or that they already voted, or that voting is happening a day later. They'll try all sorts of weird shyt as long as it can help shrink the gap between candidates.
