Technically it's not ghost writing because S Carter is in the credits. If you bought the cd and bothered to read the credits you would have known. Not to mention the fact that it's been a well known fact since it came out

It wasn't a secret cause Dre ain't a rapper and it wasn't considered Ghostwriting cause Jay was basically credited for the song...Dre didn't mind anyone knowing Jay wrote it...

I won a nice lil $50 bet with my "Hov hater" friend a couple of years ago.I remember reading in a magazine Dre saying Hov gave him the first draft about money and cars and shyt "typical Jay-Z rap". Dre told him this is dope but it won't fly in Cali, like a day later Hov sent him the version that was released and Dre was amazed by this version...with the references to lo lo's and what not.
