Yep and i'd like to here Jay spittin that verse for Dre cause when you hear the flow, it's clear that it's a Jay written verse. "It's the D-R-E" "It's the R-O-C"

:manny:

He rapped a little of it on the radio back in the day. It was probably Hot 97, I don't even think Power 105.1 was out yet. I was thinking to myself :dwillhuh: isn't that kinda a violation?

Either way, joint was bangin so hard back then.:lawd:

 I won a nice lil $50 bet with my "Hov hater" friend a couple of years ago.

I remember reading in a magazine Dre saying Hov gave him the first draft about money and cars and shyt "typical Jay-Z rap". Dre told him this is dope but it won't fly in Cali, like a day later Hov sent him the version that was released and Dre was amazed by this version...with the references to lo lo's and what not.

That white radio DJ guy who wrote that book said Jay turned in something called Malibu Dre (probably what you're talking about), then he sent in a second offering which was Still Dre.

But I mean it sounds like him, lyrically even down to the humor.."from the home of sticky green and bad traffic"...tell me that don't sound like Jay from that era

It seems like these writers would respect Dre enough to not just make him rap how they rap. Cube, Snoop, Em, Jay, Kendrick, even Royce I think..you can always hear them

It was not really ghost written because it is common knowledge that he did this, jay was even in the credits

"put cha face in ya lap /
n!ggas wanna be the King but the Ace is back"

so blatant with it. doesn't even sound like ghostwritten lyrics, its sounds like lyrics from a song jay-z already laid for himself and Dre just silenced Jay's vocals and recited the same verses. karaoke style.
