If a chick broke up with me, I could not immediately be her friend. I would need the distance to allow myself to get over the situation. Once I am completely over here, and I feel that she would be an "asset" as friend, then I will be her friend. But for the most part, if she wasn't a good girlfriend, she probably won't be a good friend either.
