he never passed the "eye test" to me. I grew up watching the Braves Big 3 of Smoltz, Glavine and Maddux and while I could see why Maddux and Smoltz was so dominant I could never understand why Glavine was so good. While Maddux never threw hard, his ball movement and location was
and the best ive ever seen along with Pedro. I LOVED watching him pitch. Every pitch had movement to it. Smoltz was the power pitcher and he also had good movement. Glavine however seemed to just throw the ball at the plate and for some reason hitters couldn't hit it
. He never threw faster than 88 and I never saw movement on his pitches. I understand he changed speeds extremely well and he used the outside part of the plate to catch hitters looking, but like I said before he never passed the "eye test" to me so he was always my least favorite to watch pitch.
