I think the problem with y'all is you don't have hobbies outside of work. Work is your only means of being social. Not trying to call you out, a lot of people seem to like work for the social interaction

I'll say this, let me come in 4 days a week. Can chat up and be with the coworkers, but still have time for hobbies outside of work. It's the perfect balance

I don't even come to work to chat it up. I like getting out the house, and when ur working from home, it becomes too easy to stay in for days on end. especially given a quarantine.

Its going to be a sad day when I have to go back in the office. Working half-days at home for the past 6 weeks made me realize how much of a drain even a 8-5+Weekends off job is. Been waking up at 8:30AM; Get cleaned up, get breakfast, clocking in at 9. Been waking up on Saturdays thinking its Sunday because Friday at 1PM I logged off and got so much done it felt like a Saturday

True, but that's why you plan stuff out. Hell, if I worked from home I'd have a nice backyard deck or if you in the city just go to the rooftop

Or what about during lunch? If you live in a good area you can go out then. I can't imagine working from home then going to the bar around the corner for lunch:banderas:

I don't enjoy it, it's lonely. I miss looking at those annoying big booty b1tches at work. The smell of their cheap peach scented Victoria's Secret body spray made me more productive.

I also work in sales and selling from home doesn't motivate me...

I think it depends though. If you are in corporate or at a company, there is the benefit of already being familiar with how to do the job and the processes. Especially in regards to working with vendors or clients you already have rapport with as long as you are in a position that is necessary to make money, you should be fine. But those unnecessary jobs might get outsourced.

This was kind of the point I wanted to make. When this is over, companies are going to be doing a lot of restructuring in terms of necessary office space and the remoteness of employees just to survive financially. This pandemic is low-key exposing what's non essential and what is. Literally.

Why is that feasible for you?

What do you mean 'why'?
Its beneficial for the employees IMO. Work/life balance is usually a top complaint I hear from employees or through various feedback vehicles. This will help fix that issue. It's not like people are going to be any more productive just by being in the office, so why waste the time/gas if the job can be done remotely?

We're also severely behind the times when it comes to work culture in 2020. It's time we start working like we're in the 21st century instead of employing an archaic M-F 9-5 work schedule.

I think people should work from home a few days a week.

Stigma, mostly. Compound that with people's natural resistance to change and you get us spinning our wheels working nonsensical schedules because "that's the way we've been doing it"

I could go into office 2 or 3 days a week

But I definitely don't miss that air circulation in an a/c environment. Just takes one person in the office to catch the Rona, then we all have the Rona. :scust:

Right. People acting like you have to stay in your house. You can go get your “people time” anywhere while you work on your laptop. You don’t have to be forced to talk to people you don’t want to

I love the journey to work as I am a fan of the London Underground system.

The time I want to start working from home is when there are delays, bad weather, etc. WFH in summer is :scust:
