I mean, renting is cool if you really don't wanna have to fix the dishwasher when it breaks but this conversation is honestly kind of childish.
For real b, just when I thought I had seen it all on the coli...

I feel like I'm being non-homeowner shamed by the fam :wow:
My cousin brought a house and is on my nuts about not being a homeowner
I've been paying rent for a minute and I'm good to go. I'm a simple nikka.
Plus, buying a home is too "permanent" for me.
I don't know if I want to live in that house for 30+ years
:sadcam:
I'm too much of a wanderlust and what if I want to move a couple years after I buy a house
I feel the pressure to buy a house brehs. Got me feeling like I ain't shyt unless I'm a homeowner
:mjcry:

I thought folks shaming you for not graduating college was bad. Not being a homeowner is up there too.
Idk... In my feels today
:wow:

They have 10 year mortgages, 15 years as well. you don't have to get a 30. Even if you do get a 30 you certainly don't have to stay there all 30 years. People sell their homes everyday, b.

Psychology. Look at your personal reasons for wanting to own. Do you feel like you can’t accomplish something in life until you own a house? Do you feel like its part of getting married and “Settling down”, i.e. creating a nest for your future children? For you, is it a part of becoming an adult. Is this what your parents taught you? Examine the real reasons you want to own and make sure they are coming from a good spot in your heart.
Damn that article was speaking right to me :sadcam:

i wouldn't trade owning my home for anything :ehh: i have a yard, i built a fire pit, i built a garden and grow flowers and vegetables. i used to have a pitbull and a GF in a 2BR and no space and now i have a giant basement full of music gear and golf stuff and all kinds of shyt. i mean i'm going to have this place paid off in 14 years and by then i'll be 46 :flabbynsick: but then i'll sell it and buy another one.

Hear brags like that bullshyt too often yo unless your mortgage is paid off you're essentially paying to the bank. Then once it's paid off you still pay taxes and they'll take that shyt and throw you in jail if you don't pay up. The ownership scam brehs pay into it until you're to old and end up dying in that shyt making it an over priced coffin

Your right, holla at me if you want to (a) own your home without paying the bankoff off (b) collect all the monthly payments you've made that is sitting in escrow (c) take ownership of your warranty deed and/or (d) not have to pay property taxes/utilities for life.

To see if maybe I can sell it to make a profit in this fukked up market, I don't plan on using my home as an atm either

Well... :patrice:
You kinda have to do your research first. You can't just plop down several hundred thousand dollars on a whim.
And this market has been good to a nikka.
Bought my townhouse for $325,000 in August '14. Comps are now around $389,000.
Thinking about cashing out and upgrading.
