Ok, you don't own the clothes on your back nor the computer/phone you're using to type these silly posts. :umad:
that's a reality I've accepted long ago when the police seized everything I owned for having a small amount of marijuana in my car.

people don't want to face the fact that we're not that different from feudalistic Europe, but this shyt was engineered from the top down to keep us in perpetual servitude.

im not saying "don't own property." I'm just saying don't be ignorant of the situation you live under

renting vs owning comes down to one thing and one thing only, capital.

if you have the down payment and you can still afford to live comfortably, while still being able to maintain the house...then you should most definitely look to buy.

if you don't have the down payment, or if it's simply too costly for you to maintain the property and you become a slave to your own mortgage...then keep your money and rent until you don't have to.

Yea, you just don't understand what ownership is.

Keeping my overhead low, and my understand high
i wasn't using that number as 100 percent facts my bad i forgot y'all be looking up articles n shyt

you can argue your point and i can argue mine

but from my experience, most people are not gone pay off their home

That may be the case. But they have more options with ownership than they do with renting.
This.... The best thing to do would be to pay off a home in like 10 years ( or pay cash outright :sas1:) but people think that because they can get a house for the same amount as renting that its the smarter thing to do, but in most cases its not true, especially when you factor in interest on a typical 30 yr mortgage.

Also you could make more money by taking that "mortgage payment" and putting that in mutual funds or an index fund over the same timespan in most cases but hey what do i know

Bruh, that same mortgage payment is the same one you're using to pay the rent, though

:dwillhuh: I honestly can't tell if you're being serious.
what part of banks and governments work hand in hand do you not understand as being serious.
Yea, you just don't understand what ownership is.
I would say the same about you. :mjlol:

seriously don't insult my intelligence, like that's some concept im incapable of understanding. do an experiment for me... find out the origin of the word taxes... then stop paying all taxes. see how free you are, and how much property you really own.. that's it. do that, and get back to me about private property and freedoms

You insult your own intelligence. You argue that you don't own property then state you're not against owning property. It's downright stupid, breh.

Ownership is NOT defined how you're trying to define it. And your whole little faux-esoteric babble is irrelevant to this discussion of ownership vs renting

It is not impossible for people to own a home mortgage free in 2015 :upsetfavre:.

You will pay taxes regardless where you live, if you're not paying someone else sure as hell is.
It's a dirty game :francis:

true but that kinda ties into my point with america being debt heavy

people are gonna take money out, rate/term refis, add more to their principle…remember equity DOES NOT exist unless you use it

plus no one sits still in a house for 30 years…after a while most are stuck

10-15 years….ARM loan…or even an interest only loan is the best way to go IMO

if paying it off is your goal those are the best options…throw extra towards ya principle and you are done

if you are wishy washy about your finances/location and don't have money to play with…i would just rent honestly
