Yeah, I like a good story in my games. I play a lot of indies for the story alone.

I like stories in video games and typically pay some attention to them when they are present. However, it's not a pre-requisite for me to enjoy the game. Though a really good story and great characters does help me enjoy the game even more and give me more resolve to push thru them. If both are intriguing enough, I'll be much more amped to play thru the game (and faster as well). The more that is put into the story of the game, the more I pay attention to it. I'll also be more inclined to be critical of such with the more emphasis the game places into them. Persona 4 Golden, for instance, since it places heavy emphasis on the two and was so good, I could not get enough of the game and while it took me months to finish it due to its length, my own availability, repeats of sections and whatnot, I made damn sure to complete the game and took no serious break from playing it.

I prefer a good story as long as the pacing between cinematics and gameplay is good. MGS4 is a good example of what not to do in that case, as it has like 3 hours of gameplay and 80 hours of cutscenes.

GOAT story = Heavy Rain

Goddamn :wow:

Had me in a rush to get home from class, drop everything like it was the next episode of DBZ about to air, on some cliffhabger soap opera, CSI shyt.

Really wish the developers could remake or make something similar for the ps4. Beyond was cool but not up to par at all.
