OK well I know what im talking about and follow the Eagles religiously. You're just guessing. I know what they've been continuously saying. Its not about Wentz. Its about getting a QB they think they can turn into better assets later


There's a far better chance that hurts is moved for a pick in the next few years than there is hurts starting important games. Nate Sudfeld would start an important game before Hurts would right now

A guy who has been in the system for 3 years is more likely to start than a rookie who likely will have no OTA or training camp time

because using a 2nd round pick on a guy to develop him like taysom hill is not the best. even tho hill getting some talks of being the saints starter after Drew leaves dude hasn't developed and probably not a starter at the moment

hopefully Jalen can develop enough to maybe he becomes a bargaining chip for another squad to be a starter or hell maybe he becomes that in philly

- Wentz gets banged up and has to miss snaps under center
- if the injuries happen after Week 8, Hurts comes in to start, not Sudfeld

Hurts is a high drafted insurance policy. I do believe the Eagles drafted Hurts partly bc of Carson recent injuries. If Carson is healthy, he is the starting QB, he is light years better in terms of pure QB play.

My gut tells me Hurts was drafted to replace Wentz and not back him up.

If he produces maybe.. But they need someone to take on Wentz's contract which is possible but a stretch.. They drafted him because realistically, they need a number 2 qb. It's either a scrub old person or a young guy with potential. Eagles went with the latter..

We all are breh no shame in being wrong from time to time. I thought Wentz would get hurt, not become totally

I don't see how Pederson goes back to Wentz. The team looked like it was revitalized when Hurts came in.

Wentz got concussed on a dirty play, why would that be held against him?

Wentz was winning games down the stretch with guys literally off the street...you have to see him live to appreciate his talent

Hurts doesn't have the ability to read the field nor does he have the same arm talent as Wentz...if anything, my hope is that he balls out in the preseason & gets traded for a first

But there's no way giving a QB 30+ mil a year when he's in his prime and then using a 2nd round pick on another QB is a smart move. Especially when they have holes they need to fill elsewhere

It's like a guy who has to walk to work , selling a new car to get slightly better house insurance.

The Eagles played 17 games last year.

Wentz started 17 games last year

He took a helmet shot to the back of the head and had to sit out for Concussion protocol in the 17th game.

The injury stuff is overblown and I doubt it is their main reason for taking Hurts

They're just stupid and think they're a QB factory and are trying to stick to that as a philosophy despite it being idiotic
