I have a Late 2011 MacBook Pro and iMac, if you can afford it then get the real deal. Trust me I was a pro windows user up until 2011 when I was forced to work with them. I started messing around with Hackintosh back in 2007 on my Dell E1705. I had it installed but the drivers and wifi caused problems so I stopped messing around with it. When I was forced to use the real OS X back in 2011, I finally understood why it's top of the line. From the software and OS to the build of the machines, it worked and is just better. It's expensive but better. There is nothing more gratifying then building your own PC from scratch but there is nothing more well spent when you but a machine that build quality is top notch and works straight out the box.

Decatur where its greater
exactly...and no need to do a hackintosh on a fully powered pc unless you do music videos or edit feature films and if your doing that you can afford a mac pro and all the other equipment necessary to get the job done and you wouldn't risk it on a hackintosh possibly not working correctly and ruining your art
I bought my early model 2011 macbook pro for $1000 with a college discount on my best buy credit card, no interest for 18 months. Doing it that way it really was not that expensive. Been going strong ever since.

agreed...the thing with the macbook line is that they are durable and will last years. Most other companies have their engineers make it so that laptops are dead within 3-5 years and it forces you to upgrade, but the build quality on these macbook pros are not to be fukked with...everything it does for me is literally perfect productivity wise and i can take it anywhere and that retina screen is Godly

dead serious any laptops i've owned before this macbook pro have died on me within 3 years due to either a power issue or motherboard issue and by that time you can't just open up a laptop and replace them or if you can it costs more than the value of the laptop

I guess my next question is what laptops did you purchase that died within 3 years?
