Take the opportunity to reevaluate your priorities/what you need in a mate. You may find that you made the right decision, or maybe the wrong one. Either way, it doesn't seem like you're in the right place to get into something with this guy. It's good you were honest with yourself about that and (I assume) didn't string him along.

I think I made the right decision in letting him go but then a part of me wonders if my decision was too haste. I want a really deep spiritual connection & I instantly get turned off when a man falls in love with my exterior before he has had time to reach deep into my soul.
