Better method would be using your money to get multiple source of income or maybe a business on the side so while relaxing and vacationing you could be replenishing money as well.

for the future, become friends with a doctor and get them to hook you up with medical notes. in the public sector you can get upto 6 months PAID leave because of health issues. not sure about your companies policy though.
