this takes a lot of discipline to do. my brother is a pastry chef and always keep his kitchen stocked with treats the shop doesn't sale so whenever i see all the cake, fudge and mousse my body gets weak and i'll usually have a small slice or bite.

I love sugar. I love bread. I love pasta. I love dessert, especially ice-cream.

Recently, for 30 days I went without any sugar, and minimal fruit... The only fruit I allowed myself to eat were blueberries, grapefruit, and watermelon.

After 30 days, I noticed I focused better, ate better, slept better, felt better, and didn't have the constant "sugar fog" or afternoon slump... Loosing weight was just a plus.

I've been reading a lot about how much sugar is comparable to crack, and I definitely did treat it so...

My goal now is two live a life without sugar...

For anyone interested, here is a great article on why sugar may be toxic for some people..

:salute: Props for the article OP.....I too have :camby: sugar..its been like 7 months now since I last had proper sugar ( excluding the protein shakes & some wild authentic African honey I copped courtesy of a young east african girl :heh:).
Hardest part was in the beginning .. forsaking all those fizzy drinks, sweets & snacks had me like:damn:
But after a couple weeks of practicing 'sweet celibacy' you don't notice the cravings so much & damn the physical changes in your body is Shocking withing a month I was seeing definition in my body that was mythical to me to upto this point:leon::banderas:.....
That saying 'You are What You Eat' is the realest statement made in fitness:whew:
