I ran the Las Vegas Rock 'n' Roll Marathon this past Sunday. My entire body is still as sore as fukk from the whole ordeal, but I finished in 3 hours and 28 minutes. I trained my ass off for the event and it really paid off. Next time I know what I can do to make myself get a better time, but for now, I'm pretty happy with this as a first time finish. This is a pretty clean break from the other sports that I do, and I found it to be a pretty fulfilling experience.

Edit:

I kept as consistent of a pace as I could the whole time. There were a couple points where my calves cramped up like crazy but otherwise I was able to keep a steady pace. Thank gawd for the watering stations and the Gatorade. I was able to keep my nutrients up the whole time. Also, they have this "energy paste" to feed you along the way. I wasn't a fan of the consistency, but it did what it was supposed to do.

i want to run the la marathon in a few years.

how did u train?

were the woman fine or skinny long distance runner types?

I trained just by running along the beach here in San Diego. Just kept upping and upping my distances up until 13 miles. Didn't want to overly tax my body before race day so I took it easy a couple nights before the event. As for the girls... they were pretty fukking sexy. Well, there was a variety. Some where really wiry, but others were on POINT with their bodies looking damn good. I had me some fun after the event at the club (even though most of us were just sitting the whole time).

i used to run track and stay relatively in shape, but i was always a sprinter so its gonna be a bytch training for a marathon. i run the hills around my house, but i might have to beach run. ive heard thats a great because its better for your knees and is just tougher to run. lol yeah i could imagine yall would be dead after that. and in vegas too :whew:

congrats on doing it though

Thanks, breh. I was gonna say about the girls, there's a lot of girls there that I like to describe as "fitness thick." You know what I mean? The ones that have you making the :takedat: face. No unsightly rolls or cellulite, but still just enough thickness to get excited about? I think that's the best way to describe it. :whew:

Damn that's a good time for your first marathon especially since the air quality from sd to lv is so different.

True, true. But the entire course was completely flat, thankfully. The air was really dry, but there was TONS of watering stations.
