For the most part yes, but I agree with him with the exception that I'd have Martin Luther King, Jr. on that list...2 Pac was the last black leader to be assasinated, people may not look at him as a black leader in the sense of the civil rights movement leaders but if you look closely at his life and message (not talkin' about the east vs west or biggie bullshyt) and the direction of where he wanted to take the black community you will see why he was assasinated and that he indeed was the last great black leader...

I have a dislike for hip-hop/rap as a whole because of the glorification of drugs, gangs, etc. Sooner or later this love affair will be terminated once we realize the majority of the art form is misogynistic hate speech that does not uplift our communities in any way. It would be one thing if the extraordinary wealth amassed by hip-hop recirculated its way through the community, but it doesn't.
Now to Pac. Pac represents all those things. Making Brenda Got a Baby, doesn't undo the damage of California Love or I Get Around. Pac came along around the crack baby epidemic and I can see how someone like him could easily fill that void most young black people at that time needed and that was someone to look up to. Unfortunately it was someone who had Thug Life tattooed across his belly. I know all about the acronym thug, but what it means on the streets is not that.

that's why i typed in parenthesis "(not talkin' about the east vs west or biggie bullshyt)" 2Pac had his flaws, later on he examined himself and admitted that he could have gone about things differently, 2 sides to that gemini dude, i'm speaking on the militant, politically aware 2 Pac, dude had plans in motion before his assasination, had the biggest voice in music which translates to power because of the amount of people who would have followed his direction...he gets a pass from me for being honest open and for being human...

Malcolm X daddy taught a message originalized by Garvey. Garvey had nikkas united, one of the reasonsj edgar hoover was given clearance to found the fbi dept. , to infiltrate his circle and stop the powerful movement.
Washington established the current hbcu format. In addition to founding tuskegee with nothing, he also contributed extensively at fisk and howard. His creation of theb negro business league allowed there to be such things as the black wall street, and prosperous blacks and black communities all over the south, and the north.
If u gonna celebrate a leader, at least pick a successful one. Toussaint l'overture. At the end of the day nat was unsuccessful and got a whole lotta nikkas killed and made it extra harder for slaves everywhere. I appreciate what he did and sonce it was done it was meant to be done anyway, but i feel toussaint is better.
