I recently came to the realization that I am angrier about sexism than I am about racism.

Hmmmm...

How do u separate the two? I actually see sexism as a manipulative branch of racism where blk men and women are fooled into adopting harmful views of the opposite sex from white gender dysfunctionality.

History LEGIT shows us that whites literally disrupted more reasonable forms of patriarchy to undermine power held by blk women in these societies to steal land that was owned by them during colonial times in Africa.

I think that when groups don't have real social power they turn on each other. Blk men have tried to be inducted into white male power circles thru adopting mysogyny against blk women. Blk women have attempted to undermine blk men by siding with anti-male sentiments.

You don't have to have real power to have privilege. You just have to have leverage over another group.

Ultimate takeaways from this thread:

  • Sexism affects women more than men and you are naive to believe otherwise
  • Racism is more than just insults. Its a system of oppression.
  • The struggle olympics leads us nowhere
  • LSA plants are still effective at riling yall up. They will keep coming from that site and trolling you as long as it still works

Wrong. When you're a black male, you're going to have people stereotyping you as an aggressive predator the moment you are old enough to form wordss.

Racism definitely affects and hurts me more. Probably because I was raised by men that respected me and because I grew up seeing how vital and neccessary Black women are to their households on all levels including financially. Black women have kept our community together and growing up around that instills in you how important you are and no sexism has ever taken from that. Plus there are perks to being a woman just like there are for being a man (men have more by far). Sexism hasnt been a major hindrance to my well-being like racism has.

Historically, when we have analyzed group outcomes, the groups with the highest measurements/numbers are deemed to be "advantaged," or as termed by Generation Samsung, "privileged."

The groups with the lower measurements/numbers are deemed "disadvantaged" or "underprivileged."

This is always the case UNTIL it comes to Black boys and men.

Girls Beat Boys in Eighth-Grade Tech, Engineering Literacy Tests: Survey
by ERIK ORTIZ

American eighth-grade girls on average scored better than their male peers in technology and engineering literacy tests, according to a national report card released Tuesday.

Girls scored three points higher than boys overall — a reversal of gender expectations because boys typically score higher than girls in math and science testing, according to the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development.

The findings of this latest test — the first ever of its kind administered by the National Assessment of Educational Progress in 2014 — provide a snapshot of how well American students are versed in an era of rapidly changing technologies.

Female students also did better than males when the questions were related to communication and collaboration (five points higher) and information and communication technology (six points higher)...

...Broken down by race, white girls averaged 162 points out of 300, while white boys averaged 158 points. Black girls averaged 131 points, while black boys averaged 126 points. Girls who identified as Hispanic or Asian were on average level with their male counterparts.

A staggering number of American black men are now 'missing'

Natasha Bertrand
Apr. 22, 2015, 3:40 PM

"Hundreds of thousands of adult black men are missing from everyday life across the country's major cities, according to a New York Times analysis examining the impact of the disproportionately high death and incarceration rates of black people in the US.

Analyzing 2010 census data (the most recent), the Times found that while there were roughly 8.503 million unincarcerated black women aged 25-54 in 2010, there were only 7.046 million black men. This means that 1.5 million adult black men — or more than one out of every six — have virtually disappeared from daily life...

...If incarceration doesn't claim the men, murder often does. More black men between 25-54 are victims of homicide than any other demographic, including black women. Young black men are 11 times more likely to die at the hands of police than their white counterparts, according to a ProPublica analysis. Heart disease is another major killer.

Whatever the reason for the gap, one thing remains clear: When the men go missing, the community suffers the most — the archetypal family is disrupted, and single motherhood is the result. For every 100 black women between 25-54 living outside of jail, there are only 83 black men, and there are now 900,000 more black women than men living in the US, according to the Times."

Look, I'm not playing oppression olympics with you but you know damn well black men have more power than black women.
You're too dense to even see the contradiction. "I'm not playing oppression Olympics.............but you know black men have more power/privilege". That's playing oppression Olympics. This bullshyt as blog post or whatever that y'all are cosigning is all about playing oppression Olympics. All black feminist thought is built on playing oppression Olympics.

No I don't know that black men are more privileged because it's not true and you can't prove that it's true which is why you try and shame black men for questioning you. "Y'all just like white men who deny racism". You can prove white racismprivilege but you can't prove black male privilege.

Yea you still black but at the end of the day you are MEN in a man's world.

Y'all sound like white women. Yes I'm a white and therefore benefit from white privilege but but...OPPRESSION OF WOMEN!!

Face it. We still love u tho
These are more lies. In societies controlled by white supremacy there is no universal male privilege extended to all men over all women, there's only white supremacy which is why white women are privileged over and hold more power than all non white men. Stop hanging on to these simple stupid ass trains of thought. You sound like a fukking idiot. I don't love you because you're willfully hanging on to ideologies that perpetuate white supremacy. You're working for the enemy.
I never said anything about the priviledge of black men exclusively. All men of all races benefit.
All men don't benefit in societies controlled by white supremacy. Black men certainly don't benefit. Stop lying.

You are like a white person who "isnt racist" but doesn't feel that white priviledge exists coz he has never gotten anything simply coz he/she was white.

So i have to assume that there are men iut there who actually belive sexism doesn't exist or that there is no male privilege just as there are people who believe racism is a thing of the past.
Again, this silly ass false equivalence is literally all you have. You can't make a valid argument proving the existence of black male privilege so you resort to ad hominems and outright lies. "Y'all just like white men who deny racism". No, you're like whites because just like them when you can't prove something or you want to deny the truth you first deflect then when that doesn't work you just outright lie. Motherfukk you and everybody like you.

Black men get plenty of things just for being black males. You get a bigger target on your back in every aspect of life. Whether it's the education system, (in)justice system, health care, or the job market black men are blessed with the gift of being the most discriminated against. That good ole black male privilege.

Assume being called a ****** to your face is the epitome of racism brehs.

Many black people are pretty lost on recognising racism that isn't overt. That's the bigger issue here. Just cause some cac doesn't call you a ****** doesn't mean racism is dying out.

Cac feminists are a joke and brehettes need to stop falling for some of their BS. 52% of cac females went Trump while black females were the biggest group to reject Trump.

Even had some cac feminist hating on Serena when cac tennis players have done this for years.

It's seriously a fukking joke. :wow:

Bump cos I found this in a New Yorker profile of hers

She had been watching Americans for years by then, and she would write about what she saw in them: their childlike optimism; their willed blindness to their own power; their peculiar racial hypocrisies.

The American boyfriend was idealistic and political, always tutoring poor children and organizing rallies... It was clear that there was a connection between the American man’s idealism and the fact that Ifemelu never felt at home with him: his rigorous ethics made his love conditional upon finding the same ethics in her.
