Amazing album. Still play it to this day (the westcoast disc) the other disc wasn't as good for obvious reasons.

If you remove the skits from the West Coast CD its a front to back listen for me. Whats not to enjoy about it? Beats by Dr Dre, Daz, Battlecat, Warren G and Soopafly, classic disc imo

He's a good but not great solo artist. He's more about the hot 16.

People say Daz wasn't a good rapper but he had the majority of the catchy verses on dogg food, which allowed kurupt to go in there and just do his lyrical miracle raps.

People de-valuing groups is one of the biggest downfalls in hip-hop and music in general.

I mean, maybe in the chronic/doggystyle era, before he changed his style, he could've been a great solo. He doesn't have any material outside of guest spots tho.
