I saw Face/Off for the first time in 15 years and that movie actually kinda sucks.

I've been watching many of my favorites from back in the day on Netflix, and watching them now makes me realize that they weren't really great movies...but it was because I was young and impressionable and I thought they was great.

I watched Face/OFF last night and while it was entertaining, there were so many things that just made me go I couldn't evene enjoy it anymore!

Top of the line doctors that can somehow perfectly remove people's faces and graft them onto one another without removing vital tissues, nerves, and having it be a bloody mess...
Me realizing that if it wasn't for Quentin Tarantino "resurrecting" John Travolta's career...he would of been done by 1992
Me realizing Nicholas Cage...might actually be one of the greatest actors of all time..
Margaret Cho is in this movie...
Watching Nic Cage's character play John Travolta's character and him doing him better than him (pause)...

I thought it was a 8/10 back when it came out but really, this is a 4/10 movie with a corny Trading Places type theme just supported by great action sequences.

I didn't read your first post, but it doesn't just kind of sucks, it outright sucks.

You got all the John Woo-ism in full display, Nicolas Cage and John Travolta having a "Who can ham it up the most contest", a nonsensical plot that seeming has a sci-fi bent to it.

It's an entertaining film, but god damn is it stupid.

This movie and Starship Troppers (another movie these armchair critics like to shyt on) are kept on an external. I never get tired of watching them. One of John Woo's best when he went Hollywood.
