The Nets bruh? :comeon:

Derek Anderson? Like he would have prevented the sweep? :comeon:

Just don't bring up that run to show how great Duncan was when all the contenders in the West went out with injuries. The Spurs had it easy that year.

He was the second leading scorer and best perimeter defender. They had no perimeter game once Dallas knocked him out. Look at that 2001 roster...other than Duncan, Robinson and Anderson, it was trash...and they still won 58 games. Kobe didn't have to work defensively at all without Anderson around.

:mjpls: Duncan & Co. could give a fukk about injuries when Duncan's knee injury in 2000 started the Laker 3-peat (and the Derek Anderson injury a year later helped keep it going). Part of the game. Plus, they still beat a healthy Nets squad for the ring.

Duncan was playing with plantar fasciitis when they lost to Dallas in OT of game 7 the next year because of a bonehead Ginobili foul to end the 4th quarter. But nobody talks about that.

Anderson wouldn't have changed a damn thing and you know it. :rudy:

Look what Kobe did to Anderson during the regular season. 38/7/3 and 43/6/3.

Hmmm lets see playing with plantar fasciitis or not playing at all?

Tough one. :beli:

People shyttin on cwebb too now? :heh:

Spurs had some shytty championship teams that must give duncan credit...but who did they really beat to get their rings over the years? How can people be marvelled at how they never fall off yet they arent good enough to be champs anymore? It puts spurs and duncan stans in a predicament. Plus duncan shoulda been a celtic in that draft...he would be getting shyt on right now :heh: oh yea fukk david robinson btw hes garbage...

lol @ the bullshyt in this post. :what:

That Lakers team sucked. One of the worst Laker teams in the past 12 years. They were on their last legs after winning three straight championships.

3 of the contenders in the West were hit with injuries. Lakers - Kobe and Shaq. Kings - Webber suffered an injury to his knee that ended his career as an elite player. Dirk went out with an ankle sprain.

Duncan's path to the finals that year was fukking easy.

fukk outta here, they returned a team coming off a fukking 3-peat and the only people that werent on that team from the previous year was Mitch Richmond and Lindsey Hunter

Uh, you cited Kobe and Shaq being hurt in 03 yet they still played. What are you talking about? Yeah Dirk got hurt in the WCFs, but they were down 2-1 anyway and the Spurs had home court. That Don Nelson run and gun shyt wasn't going to beat the Spurs even with Dirk the whole series.

Anyway, I always thought that 06 was the one that got away for the Spurs. Duncan played through plantar fasciitis and he still put up strong numbers. He clearly wasn't himself as a defender though. He had no lateral movement. Dirk always gave him problems anyway, but he was about to exploit him in space during that series. They lost in OT of game 7 in large part due to a braindead foul by Ginobili on Dirk at the end of the 4th.

I think it's pretty safe to say if Duncan was 100%, they would've won the series. Then they would've dispatched the Sons with ease as usual in the WCFs. I think they were a better team than Miami too, but we all know the fix was in with the refs that year.

Plantar fasciitis kept Duncan from pulling off a 3-peat. :snoop:

They returned the same core from a 3-peat. Stop it. You literally said "they sucked, they were on their last leg after a 3-peat."

So what? :what:

They were tired , old and injured. You don't come off three consecutive final appearances without feeling the ill effects. Look at the 2011 Lakers.

Shaq had a foot injury and Kobe had a knee injury. The rest of the roster was OLD and INJURED.

You are a fukking idiot if you think the 03 Lakers was a great team. They won 50 games and were the 5th seed. For most of the season they were the 9th seed. :why:

Don't fukking quote me if you don't know what the fukk you are talking about.

2-1 means nothing. In 04 the the Spurs were up 2-0 on the Lakers. How did that turnout? :mjpls:
