So what? :what:

They were tired , old and injured. You don't come off three consecutive final appearances without feeling the ill effects. Look at the 2011 Lakers.

Shaq had a foot injury and Kobe had a knee injury. The rest of the roster was OLD and INJURED.

You are a fukking idiot if you think the 03 Lakers was a great team. They won 50 games and were the 5th seed. For most of the season they were the 9th seed. :why:

Don't fukking quote me if you don't know what the fukk you are talking about.

:umad: Calm your emotions down. You said they sucked. They did not suck. They returned the same core from a championship team. It was Kobe and Shaq in their primes averaging 30 and 28. You don't go from a 3-peat to sucking with the same core of players in one season. You sound ridiculous.

If you're going to argue seeding, there's been veteran teams who suffered through injuries during regular season and ended up being a 4 or 5 seed but still were title contenders when the playoffs came around. Look at the Celtics of recent. The Lakers were still good enough to beat the #4 Timberwolves 4-2.

He played an old, tired and injured Lakers team and a Dirkless Mavs team you fukking fakkit. You can't change those FACTS. :beli:

:stopitslime: That's nothing but a crutch to fall back on. That shyt is apart of the game.

So just cause according to you the Lakers were old and tired that chip isnt supposed to count? You think Isiah Thomas apologized for Detroit winning a title in 89 when Magic and Byron Scott got hurt?

Look at Duncan's numbers in the 06 playoffs vs the Mavs. Tim Duncan 2005-06 Game Log | Basketball-Reference.com

He played perfectly fine. I think the refs had more to do with the Spurs losing than anything else.

I watched the series, and Duncan was not himself defensively in that series. He didn't have any lateral quickness or foot speed. Dirk was able to face up on him and do whatever he wants.

The fact that was able to average 32 and 12, including 41 in game 7 with plantar fasciitis is a testament to the greatness of Timothy Theodore Duncan (peace be unto him).

The Lakers were out of the playoff picture for most of the season. It took Kobe going insane to even get us in the playoffs. It doesn't matter if it was the same core or not. Everyone outside of Kobe and Shaq were done. Horry shot 31% from the field and .058% from 3 and he was one of our best players. Fisher was trash, Fox was done and so on. The roster was old.

Look at the Heat after they won the ring in 06. They returned the same core the next season and how did that turnout? :stopitslime: Its the same thing that happened to the 03 Lakers.

The Lakers barely got past the Wolves. They were down 0-2 at one point. Our only shot at winning a ring that year was having both Kobe and Shaq going ham. But Kobe was playing on one leg (forgot why he was in Colorado?:shaq2:) and Shaq had a foot injury that plagued him for the entire season.

I never said the ring didn't count. Where did I say that? :what:

I said don't pretend that they beat the 00-02 Lakers. 03 Lakers was nowhere as good as those teams.

man for real then those bytch ass mavs fans wanna complain about the finals that year :stopitslime:
Both series were rigged in my opinion. The Mavs got some unbelievable calls in the Spurs series and we all know what happened with Wade in the finals.

 Just stop. Kobe averaged 30 that year. Shaq averaged 28. lol@you talking about Kobe supposedly being so hampered by injuries but he averaged 30. They were healthy for the playoffs. They just got beat. They were the same team from the previous years except that they lost Richmond and Lindsey Hunter. They had the exact same starting lineup. They would've been a higher seed if Shaq didn't miss 15 games that year. You said they sucked. You're not going to convince anyone that they sucked coming off a 3-peat with the same core.

Stop trying to kick dirt on Duncan's (peace be unto him) apex. Dude carried a team with no reliable 2nd option to a ring. The 2nd leading scorer on the team was Tony Parker with 15 ppg. He had an aging D-Rob, a 19 year old green Tony Parker who didn't even understand the NBA game well, couldn't hit a jumpshot to save his life, and got benched in favor of Speedy fukking Claxton in the finals, an erratic, out of control sparkplug off the bench named Manu Ginobili, and a young S-Jax in his 2nd year. It was one of the greatest playoff and finals performances by a player ever.

:what:

Are you going to tell me that the 07 Heat didn't suck too? :what:

Why did Kobe go to Colorado to have surgery immediately after the playoffs ended? Answer that. :stopitslime:

Look everyone's stats outside of Kobe and Shaq's that year.

Just look at the 05 Wolves. The same exact roster that made the WCF in 04 and they missed the playoffs. :stopitslime:

Players and teams falloff. It happens.

Anderson wouldn't have changed a damn thing and you know it. :rudy:

Look what Kobe did to Anderson during the regular season. 38/7/3 and 43/6/3.

San Antonio Spurs at Los Angeles Lakers Box Score, March 9, 2001 | Basketball-Reference.com
San Antonio Spurs at Los Angeles Lakers Box Score, December 1, 2000 | Basketball-Reference.com

:comeon:

Anderson dropped 21 on LA in a win, and the Spurs lost that second game when he didn't score. Spurs went 2-2 in the regular season against LA (the other win, Anderson scored 16) with the home teams winning each game. It's a lot of what ifs, but you don't just assume eliminating a team's second leading scorer won't have an effect on a series. The loss of his scoring led to the Spurs offense being thrown in the :trash:

People shyttin on cwebb too now? :heh:

Spurs had some shytty championship teams that must give duncan credit...but who did they really beat to get their rings over the years?

99. KG/Marbury Wolves, Shaq/Kobe Lakers, Sheed/Stoudamire T-Wolves before they got the Knicks sans Ewing.

03. Marbury/Amare/Marion Suns, Shaq/Kobe Lakers, Dirk/Nash Mavs, Kidd/Martin/Jefferson Nets

05. Melo/Camby/Martin Nuggets, Ray Allen Sonics, Nash/Amare/Marion Suns, Detroit Pistons (easily their toughest finals opponent)

07. Melo/Iverson Nuggets, Nash/Amare Suns, Williams/Boozer Jazz, LeBron's Cavs (easily the easiest opponent)

They put in work on their finals runs.

Lamb of God
Duncan in the first quarter 8pts, 5rebs
Kevin Garnett in 25 mins vs the Heat 2pts, 8rebs.

Anybody that has ever argued for KG over Duncan, I don't care when you made the argument all I have to say is that I hate you.
Duncan is literally one of the GOAT of Hoops. I can't stand how he doesn't get his due because he isn't entertaining.
