Kareem just cosigned his activism

To laud anyone as a cultural hero, that person would also have to embody as well as promote some of the core values of that culture. LeBron has done that through his outspoken political and social advocacy, especially in support of racial equality. But beyond just talking, he has taken positive actions to better the community and country. This was demonstrated when Fox News’ Laura Ingraham famously reacted to an ESPN interview with LeBron in which he discussed, among many other topics, politics, by complaining, “It’s always unwise to seek political advice from someone who gets paid $100 million a year to bounce a ball. Keep the political comments to yourselves. … Shut up and dribble.” Instead of just engaging in a social media war, he turned her lame insult into a three-part documentary series for Showtime called Shut Up and Dribble, which explores the evolving role of athletes in today’s divisive political climate. Over the years, LeBron has added his voice to the many athletes of conscience who wish to call attention to social injustices in order to eradicate them.

“But LeBron James is the hero this generation has thrown up the pop chart,” Abdul-Jabbar wrote. “It’s a place he clearly has earned, and we’re all better off for him being there.”

Yes because Kareem the GOAT is relieved someone in this generation along with Chris Paul, Wade, and others are actually doing SOMETHING. Unlike Kobe and Jordan who did relatively nothing

But of course, a CAC like you thinks T-Shirts are impressive. So you really gonna compare what the 60s Black Male celebs did to what Lebron is doing. I want you to say it with a straight face :skip:

Why do you weirdo nikkas call Lebron attention seeking and a dikkrider everytime he gets interviewed and answers a damn question and then someone pulls a quote and posts about it for fake outrage :mjlol:
I dont think this is an at the moment thing. Bron imo is one of the most genuinely caring black athletes of the past 50 years. He just should have kept that I kneel with Kaep shyt out comments.

Won't stop all these Lakers fans from being fake mad.

Funny how Kap and his people went hardest after Malcolm Jenkins for being a traitor to the movement and have embraced LeBron as an ally and a brother.

I guess Malcolm Jenkins is a secret NBA player

:troll:

NFL groupies and Kobe Stans.. What an unholy alliance of nonsense

First im a Bron stan, now Im a Kobe stan.

:russ:

fukk a t-shirt. If you didnt agitate like Kaep,be quiet.

Exactly

Salute for him to starting the school

But it was Derek Rose who started that I can’t breathe t shirt and it was D Wade who began the hoodie and then Lebron followed suit

Lebron is from northeast Ohio right?? So why wasn’t he out front about tamir rice.. Because there wasn’t another athlete who spoke out first, so he can follow

Kneel what? This is annoying. Saying you did something figuratively doesnt mean youve done anything.

Props to the WNBA players who can say this with a straight face.

yall nikkas and your hate....:gucci:

saying you did something figuratively IS doing something

lebron has been very vocal on social issues...and to say otherwise is very disingenuous....but this is the coli so....

not to mention that the nba has a policy of the anthem...the nfl DIDN'T

Do you dumb fukks not realize he was asked a question regarding Kaep?! :mindblown:

What was he supposed to do, say “I just worry about basketball”?!

Bron is criticized by cacs cause they say he talks about politics too much..shut up & dribble

He’s getting criticized by his own people in here cause talks too much

What the hell do y’all want him to do?

Everyone here crying at OP (who likes Bron way more than Kobe) will be the same nikkas calling KD a coward bytch when he wins this June......even though he just announced a center for black kids in DC

Just say y'all are dikkriders and KIM, stop pretending like Bron is your favorite athlete because of activism. It's definitely a plus for Bron overall resume out here, but y'all really act like you like Bron for pro-blackness first and basketball second. FOH with that shyt. When KD or other athlete does pro black shyt the threads are a ghost town
