I still do not know what a touchdown catch is yet.

Well evidently one has to be...they both were reviewed and one was called a TD....I just want to know what a TD catch is because I clearly do not know the rules after all these years.

What I am seeing is that any time you throw that fade route to end zone, you should just let them catch it and slap it out when they come down.
I really don't care breh so I'm not going to go in to it. The O gets all these calls for them the least you can do is hold on to the fukking ball

NEITHER IS A TD...

THE REFS GIFTED DETROIT A LOT OF MAKEUP CALLS IN THAT GAME

FOLLOWING THE SEATTLE CONTROVERSY.

BUTLER HIT THE BALL JUST BEFORE THAT 2ND FOOT THE HIT THE TURF.

IT WAS CLEAR AS DAY.

Nope. Count the steps and then count the hit. The ball was clearly hit after the 2nd foot was down.

Both plays are simple to explain. When you make a catch and falling to the ground, you have to come up with the football in your possession.

They ruled the giants an incomplete because the wr was supposed to make a running move but he's in the endzone. Why would he need to run? As soon as he lands with two feet inbounds and control of the ball, it should be a touchdown.

That's not why they ruled it incomplete. They ruled it incomplete because you need to have two feet on the ground and maintain possession. The ball was knocked out simultaneously to his second foot. That's incomplete.

That Detroit play should have been incomplete. Imo the rules are pretty clear. The Dez Bryant play is the falling to the ground rule.

No they ruled it incomplete because he didn't make a running move. He had possession.

This is a serious problem with the league right now. no one can straight up tell you whats a catch and whats not a catch which is one of the basic building blocks of football. shyts really just some subjective nonsense at this point that cheapens the game

collins caught that game ending brady interception in the air with both hands on it with a firm grip fell on his back while tucking it and it was called not a interception. How can you catch a ball mid air and fall on your back and it not be a considered caught? That same play on offense is considered a catch. :mindblown:
