Because its a media vote and they try to go with the best storyline possible. Nash and Dirk were winning MVPs too. Last year the media credited Rose for the Bulls having the best record in the league and anyone who knows a damn thing about bball knew the real reason they had that record. Because of their number 1 ranked defense. There was a reason why the Bulls would win games with Rose shooting 5 for 20 from the floor, but the media was so against Lebron they weren't going to give him one last year. This year just proves how overrated Rose was last year. Bulls ended up with the best record yet again with Rose missing half of the season.
