If you just watch sports, it's completely fine. Most sports broadcast are 720 or 1080P unless it's those special broadcasts from online but still 4K TVs are pretty cheap and regular now so you might as well upgrade if you can afford to.

Honestly, broadcasters haven't caught up with technology.

Unless you pay a premium for 4k content most channels are using 720p or 1080i.

My philosophy is that a good 1080p TV is better than a cheap 4k. But then again I've been 4k for 8 years now

All of my TVs are 4k but from what I understand, at the distance I game/watch TV from I'm not really able to see the difference between 4k, 2k, or 1080p without having a 85-100" screen

I broke my tv taking the A/C out the window yesterday so I guess im done with 1080p gang.. I go weeks without turning it on besides to stream youtube so I was in no rush . Was looking at a TCL bestbuy has on sale but not sure about that brand . Help me if anyone has some recommendations.
