I think a lot of you fatherless people confuse Jay and people in his league being off shyt for regular joes being off shyt.

A mid 30s dude talking about he doesn’t wear jerseys doesn’t mean that kids should stop rocking them. A multi millionaire talking shyt about bmw x5 doesn’t mean that ordinary dudes should switch up. A 50 year old billionaire talking about those 100k stacks being corny doesn’t mean that it’s insignificant to a face tattooed druggie. All this analysis and dudes still missed that Jay-z does not want to do, rock or be mentioned with other rappers or other average joes for that matter.

It’s merely Jays way of being cocky and the battle element of hiphop. All rappers do it, but Jay is better at it and of course people analyze what Jay says as if their god said it - exhibit one see this thread

What mental gymnastics.

"We don't do that, I don't do this, I rock this".
Is about what Jay-z does, I don't even know a single fatherless cat that thought the X5 was about him.
I don't know a single teenager or young 20s cat that thought that they should start riding Maybachs and using suits.

You read too deep into Jay-z's lyrics, you need a new father figure.
Jay-z started "button-ups", like the most common garment for men in the past 100 years :snoop:

All he did was brag about being an older rich ceo rocking shirts, suits etc and riding maybachs. And dudes "yo yo yo Jay-z started button ups". The new generation of rappers weren't rocking suits or shirts except like Clifford and old people did what old people been doing.

Jay doesn't even have social media, so I don't think he's been trying to set trends for the past decade.

The only one I can attribute to him is his own shyt like Ace of Spades and shyt only rappers get from him but other rich people get from elsewhere Maybach, Richard Mille and other dumb expensive European luxury products. Other than that terms like super facts, certain people might give it to Jay but that's just ordinary Brooklyn/NY shyt.

This was probably the dumbest thing Jay z did (after trying to go against Nas)

T pain popularized that sound and gave us classics

Now the truth is that after Jay dropped DOA, t pain was finished.

But, new guys didn't have to experience that same affect.

Death of auto tune came out in 2009, the autotune era died die, and was brought back drill music and mumble rappers, who did entirely different the garbage songs weezy was making at the time and kanye
Future started making waves in 2010-2011

Is there somebody in here actually saying that autotune wasn’t prevalent the immediate years after Death Of Autotune? It’s literally the opposite of what happened.

Actually, at the time "D.O.A" dropped, there wasn't really any major songs using autotune. Only thing I can think of is Wayne's "Steady Mobbin" and Kanye's "Amazin". So it's not like he actually killed off anything. It was just a hot trend cooling off an Jay capitalized on it. So it appeared that he killed it off. The months following "D.O.A", it wasn't heard much either. Whereas, in 2006-2008, autotune was huge. T Pain, Wayne, and Kanye were topping charts with it. Kanye made a whole album with it.

Did it ever really die? No, that whole Futuristic period in Atlanta that spawned Travis Porter (Roscoe Dash) was on it heavily. Then of course, it re-emerged big time with Future in 2010/2011.

Wayne dropped a huge hit [Right Above It]with autotune right after Hov dropped DOA.

Wayne dropped mixtape using auto-tune and everyone was mad lol

No Ceilings had auto-tune Dedication 3 had Auto-Tune rebirth had Auto-Tune

The Young Money album had Auto-Tune.

808s & heartbreak had Auto-Tune

The Carter 3 had plenty of Auto-Tune and those songs were still popping in 2009

Drake was using auto-tune and a new Lil Wayne song with leaking every day with auto-tune and future was coming up and he dropped two of his first mixtape witch use autotune

I don't think you guys were paying attention so anything but the old flabby and sick artist so you don't know any better honestly

No they weren't, bedrock didn't have autone on it that came out the same year as Death of Autotune in 2009 and was young money's biggest hit

like I said, the rappers who brought auto tune back were like 12-13 years old during this time, and they don't use it

and the 2009 was the beginning of the Wiz Khalifa, Kendrick Lamar, Big Sean, and the Hipster rap era, what the fukk are you talking about

like I said you gotta be old to even be talking death of autone, yall don't even talk about new artist on this on form, same flabby and sick discussions, yall not in tuned with the culture

2012, Future's break out HIT, NO AUTO TUNE
Future - Same Damn Time (Official Music Video) - YouTube

just look at that old ass nikka in the tweet, talking about you folks

nikka you ain't young lamo
Future's first hit was Racks. That had autotune
