Just because something dropped in 2008 doesn't mean the singles didn't carry over into 2009. Songs typically break in 8-12 weeks.

You're an idiot. Autotune never went anywhere.

DOA didn't drop and magically take off the same day.

Kesha and other pop stars were using autotune heavy too.

Breh, you're an idiot.

What songs from Carter 3 were still huge using autotune when "D.O.A." dropped. Same goes for 808's. And I already mentioned "Amazin". Again, READ AND COMPREHEND before responding.

We aren't talking Pop stars because they were using autotune before it became a thing in Hip Hop.

Death of auto tune came out in 2009, the autotune era died die, and was brought back drill music and mumble rappers, who did entirely different the garbage songs weezy was making at the time and kanye
auto tune never left

nikkaz just be saying shyt. :laff:

this ain't the age no more when you could cap and get away with it. Internet done fukked up the cap game
Lmao. He trying to say autotune wasn't prevalent because a song dropped in 2008 and not 2009.

That's not how music works.

Singles can get play for years and years even from an older album. Lol.

They dropped before "D.O.A." and you have the NERVE to call someone an idiot.
They were popular all 2009. What does the exact release date have to do with anything?

Any Billboard list will show autotune was popping in 2010, 2011 etc.

You're wrong here. It's OK, Hov stan.

Breh, do you realize how stupid this sounds. Of course, songs get played years and years from an older album. And to put this in perspective, you really think "D.O.A." didn't still get played beyond 2009. Was that song really hot beyond the time it came out?

It has to do with anything because they all dropped BEFORE Jay was out here trying to kill off autotune.

Breh, look at his post. A lot of what he listed was either a year before or a whole year after "D.O.A.". Breh has Carter 3 listed and it dropped in 2008. And some of what he listed that came after "D.O.A." wasn't even that huge.

Im not even talking about the year end 2009 list, I’m talking about the year end 2010 list. Multiple songs on here are AFTER DOA. This should not be a debate. These are tangible facts. DOA was June 2009. A LOT of autotune related tracks came out between then and 2012, and would eventually become the staple in rap like it has today.

I am not Jay stan, but you are too old to be some groupie, bandwagon riding trend hopper waving poms poms for something just because it's trendy. Stick to riding Wayne and making Wayne threads because that's all you're good for.

And that's what I wa getting at. I didn't say artists just quit using autotune, but was autotune the staple that it was in 2006-2008 in 2009?

NY all day..Da Stead & BK..
I think a lot of you fatherless people confuse Jay and people in his league being off shyt for regular joes being off shyt.

A mid 30s dude talking about he doesn’t wear jerseys doesn’t mean that kids should stop rocking them. A multi millionaire talking shyt about bmw x5 doesn’t mean that ordinary dudes should switch up. A 50 year old billionaire talking about those 100k stacks being corny doesn’t mean that it’s insignificant to a face tattooed druggie. All this analysis and dudes still missed that Jay-z does not want to do, rock or be mentioned with other rappers or other average joes for that matter.

It’s merely Jays way of being cocky and the battle element of hiphop. All rappers do it, but Jay is better at it and of course people analyze what Jay says as if their god said it - exhibit one see this thread
Either way Jay didn’t even stick to it. He said nikkas off Timbs and then kept wearing Timbs. Lol. nikkas need to stop taking everything these rappers say serious.
