If your AC is making your car cut off it's probably a faulty compressor or the clutch on the pulley is bad especially if it's making squealing noises. Could also be a bad idle air control valve, or an electrical issue, grounds could be bad.

If you had a coolant leak your car would be overheating

If you're having problems with your AC leaking you're leaking REFRIGERANT. NOT COOLANT. Coolant aka antifreeze cools the engine. Refrigerant aka "freon" cools the cabin. Car is almost cutting off because the clutch on the compressor is probably trashed. The AC isn't connected to the radiator, either. Just the condenser.

Nah I was simple to him. I said that

1. I think I have a coolant leak.
2. Everytime I drive the car and put on the A/C, the car wants to shut down
3. There is a mist on the windshield which shows like its a coolant leak

He looked dumbfounded

So I got a call back from the mechanic shop

Said I need a new radiator, some hoses and cabin filter. And told me it's $866

Then did an oil change without me knowing and added it on and said it's now $927 total

Told him don't touch anything, and I'm not doing the repairs, and I'm getting my car back

Went to a mechanic shop today and told them I most likely have a coolant leak in my car, whenever I put on the A/C the car shuts down or starts vibrating

Then the mechanic all of a sudden blurted out, "Oh so you need your A/C fixed??!!!?! "


I'm like.... no. I think it's a coolant leak, maybe a radiator leak


Then again blurted out, "Usually when that happens, it means you need an oil change "



fukking imbecile. He told me he would check on it in 2 hours and give me a call when he did a "diagnostic check". $60 down the drain

Times like these, I wish I could learn how to repair my own car

you damn near gotta beat their ass once they start getting on that shyt, they're letting you know early you're about to get fukked over.
next time bring a pocket knife and use it to point out whatever issues you're having. it doesn't need to be unfolded, but have your thumb at the ready and stare at their forearms when they talk.

that'll put his bytch ass on notice don't fukk with me and don't even THINK about reaching for no tools if we get into it.
mechanics can't work on shyt without their forearms... they'll either come correct or ask you to leave

I'm getting a $20 radiator leak fluid at Walmart and calling it a day
