Cali is better than Texas. It's just too expensive. The culture, food, weather and people are overall better.
I live in Texas and it's wack af. Certain parts of Florida are better than Texas. The other states you mentioned were red states, some are transitioning. Texas will never turn blue. Everyone knows Boston has a history or racism but nowhere near as bad as Texas.
A lot of progressive liberals come from MA though including Elizabeth Warren, JFK and John Kerry.
The ISD system is broken and doesn't teach the youth about racism at all. Texas also has a history of fixing votes and using the black codes. As an African American, it is imperative to teach your kids outside of school but in certain states, the education system allows black owned schools to exist.
I know we've done this thread a million times but there are a lot of people unaware of systemic racism but will hang out with white people, preach conservatism, endorse hatred, bump country music and engage in white supremacist activities (especially on here and in the TSC) unintentionally while people up north and in the west coast are on code and on their P's and Q's to white codes so we come off as stand offish sometimes because we were raised to be alert.
There were times where I was morbidly disgusted by the amount of animosity a black or mexican from here would have against Obama or support police brutality or even disagree with Kaepernick.
These people are descendants of the black people that were against Malcolm X, Martin Luther King, The Black Panther, Muhammad Ali. History repeats itself. Red states breeds c00n mentalities.

Nah Breh. They did my brother super dirty. I see how black folks are treated in Galveston. The whole country is sour but certain pockets have an interest in keeping black men in addition to others locked away for as long as possible.
