It could work Maybe once we have general artificial intelligence. But the thing we have now called llm can't work because of hallucinations.
It's funny when @ChatGPT-5 forgets to cite a source or forgets a historical figure. But it's catastrophic when it forgets the formula for the water filtration system at the city water plant or if AI halucinates a DOD drone strike to Target a children's hospital.
Also don't forget that AI is a tool that must be used by a person so whoever is training the AI model which does government work can still mess it up by giving it bad information or coaxing in to say what a political party wants it to say; regardless of whether it's true or not. Don't be surprised when an AI trained by a white supremacist is tasked with reducing crime and its solution is to eliminate black people

Because it's probably not going away, perfect world scenario; yes. But the fact that AI needs to be programmed and that programming is subjective based on who programmed it, so my inclination is to say no. Also, AI suffers from paperclip theory; always finding the shortest route between A and B... it may do some serious damage with whatever it determines is the right solution.

AI is no where close to being AGI tier despite what Sam Altman says to try and run up another venture capital bag. It's video game tier at best but video games have finite scenarios to control for unlike real life where anything can happen at anytime.
