Is it worth it?

Did it break your pockets?

Did you furnish it right away or later?

I need ny own place, but I dont wanna overdo it and struggle...bc I love to travel and go ham on weekends.

Didn't break my pockets when I moved because I had a good paying job for my age and didn't have any bills. One HUGE thing is that I didn't sped one dollar on furnishing because my mom was remaried so I was able to take couches dressers barstools etc.

My rent is 800 though and lease ends in April and ill def be looking for something less expensive

shyts almost impossible for a young nikka in NYC to move out without a real decent job. rents here start at 1k for studios and 1 bedrooms in the slums. im trying to stack to move the fukk out but this shyt almost seems impossible and im exstremely low maintenance i know how to survive on 200 a month:to:

for those living on they own in NYC how much did ya make before ya felt comfortable moving out?

first apt I had was back in like 2001. I only made 37K back then, but had no kids or nothing, and student loans hadn't kicked in. plus my whip was old and paid off. my rent was like $600 a month, and I was able to swing it. I stacked some dough a couple months before moving so I could have a crib full of ikea furnishings. I was able to swing it. those were probably the most fun 2 years of my life living solo like that.

I moved out last year. :ahh: Greatest day of my life. My parents made it seem like it would be so hard. :ehh: It's annoying having to pay bills and other shyt but it's not that bad.

why can't u live in jersey? isn't the cost of living reasonable over there, yet you're still close enough to the city to take public transportation whenever u want?
