A day before my quarterly checkup I'm spitting up blood with excruciating side pain. They say it sounds like bronchitis brought on by the dust and come back in two weeks.
The week of the appointment I get a hellish left leg cramp. Doc tells me to go their other office for an ultrasound.
There's a blood clot in my leg and they tell me to go to the ER. They do a cat scan and there's a huge clot in my right lung, and smaller ones in my left. The smaller ones go deeper that's why it hurt so much to cough.
I've been in the hospital going on five days tommorow. I think I'm just coming to grips that this thing could have dropped me dead.
My family has been to see me, but I wouldn't feel comfortable telling a flesh and blood person just how scared I've been thsee last few minutes.
