*Appreciates* dude was as good as advertised. his label did well making him an instant millionaire

Two straight great products. Amazing production, lots of flows and dude can spit when he wants to. hell even his video directing is :ohhh:

Right now LLA is contending with Born Sinner for second best album this year so far.

I was gonna post this. the beat on the second verse hits you so hard in the whip :wow:

actually he has a ton of influences

i hear a blend of influences in Asap's music

his flow is unique when compared to his peers
and he brings something cool to the game

image wise he shows a blend of influences(from WC to EC to SOuth sht)

Toast to da gawd nikka:myman:

As I take the time to quote the GOAT Harry B

"The special thing about him is that he's a hipster/street rapper.
He blends different obscure eras of music, like No Limit with Brother Lynch with Big L in one song without it sounding funny.

That's why he has music that sounds like no one else's.

He can make trick daddy type of lyrics sound like some cool, hipster modern shyt and stuff like that. It's hard to explain.

That's what's special with him.

Besides that, he's got a very flexible flow, good delivery, technical skills are quite good and on. Imo every rapper out doing well is special.
It's nearly impossible to blow without being somewhat special in 2013"

If so-called rap fans really wanted something innovative, intelligent and unique, Rocky would be the biggest rapper in the game. Period. But they don't. Your average rap fan is a smart/dumb nikka and/or a turn-up. They can't embrace multiple styles of creativity in hip hop and trained to like a certain aspect/or coast of hip hop, which they want rehashed over and over again.

Rocky makes hip hop no one's made before. Pulling from obscure eras of music and multiple coasts while doing it really really well (with the exception of his often-filler rhymes). For that reason alone, I give him way more props than anyone in the game right now. That's what artists do, and that's how I know he's a hip hop head.

Your average rapper (Cole, Kendrick, Drake, etc) is pulling from well-worn influences that everyone knows, have remained popular and have been done to death. How can I respect someone who is basically the new Andre 3000, and far worse than him? I don't fukk with clones, especially weak ass ones.

Rocky is Rocky. There are elements of so many random people in him but at the end of the day, it's him.

ASAP Rocky makes dope azz music

I must've listen to this 1000 times. From the flow to the beat to the vibe. It's just the perfect song to listen when I'm driving back home in the early morning>

Last time I checked, great music is about replay value.

That song alone is better than anything in Kendrick Lamar's, J Cole's and Drake's discography. It's that good.

dictated the new prototype for rappers image/aesthetic wise

amazing ear for production

okay with the bars and the flow is repetitive
but it's a start

he's the most accurate representation of what I know new york youth to be currently
he's the only one to break through so far
for whatever reason most of the live nikkas in the city don't rap/make music
we too busy shopping doing drugs selling drugs fukking bytches I guess
and nobody is putting it in bars right now

to an outsider they might think nikkas are on some papoose shyt
some dusty nikka shyt
but ny is the center of the world as far as art goes & I hope to see the sound reflect the reality one day

I often wish I was a rapper just so I could tell the story from my perspective

like I said so far a$ap is the closest to the truth and showing what the late 80's early 90's youth was/is like:yeshrug:+

Rocky is that nikka, I really want to see how the Mob does post-Yams. His first mixtape is a classic, and his debut was arguably the best album of 2013.

Are nikkas in here really criticizing Rocky's flow, dude has one of the best flows I the game quite easily. He can do double time, he can rap over beats that other artists wouldn't even know what to do with.

fixed. honestly, I can't even think of anyone new that is even close to Rocky in the flow department.
