Are you gonna do a poll with Kendrick and Drake?

well, I knew you would reply and typically respect ur posting.
P's fall off was huge because of how amazing he was in his peak. He's never come close to rhyming like that consistently over an album since. That being said, he somehow found a way to be captivating on the mic over top flight production from ALC. Yeah, he wasn't rhyming nearly as well as he was during his prime. But he was rhyming well and the album was crazy.Including Return of the Mac which while it was better than his previous work, it PALED in comparison to early P. Cats just were happy he was literally rhyming again.
How is he a fraud? Or more of a fraud than Frank White, Nas Escobar, etc.Him being a fraud that has been exposed factors in kid. It makes his music disingenuous.
Yeah but how many rappers been both elite on the mic and still dropping crazy music? Finally, my stat was based on 5 years out of 95. NoW if u want I can include 93 and 94, but I assure u..that will only make that percentage go down.![]()
It's been a long time since I listened to Letha Injection, but I would put Stillmatic, Lost Tapes and Life is Good over it.don't think Nas has an album as good as/better than LI other than Illmatic and IWW
Cube's run stopped when Predator dropped. That's when it was obvious he had lost a step.Cube was on a run and as soon as he stopped, he never quite recovered. Should have kept going.
Exactly. His verses on Ross and Game's albums last yearThey better than I Am the West.
Consistency matters. Nas been dropping dope sh!t since Illmatic. Life is Good got a great reception and he still drops verses that people name drop as best of the year. Can't say that about Cube.
I liked the Westside Connection album. I think that was a good period for Cube because he was still spitting, he had some motivation and WC keeping him on his toes and trying to saw his whole fukking head offCube set the bar real high for himself with his first 3 albums. The one thing I noticed is that the less angry he became the quality of his music went down. Him being so involved in the East vs West thing was kinda corny
Nobody two rappers in hip hop history had ever talked as tough as Hav and P.
Plus they made they made it sound so authentic

The War & Peace albums were meh.idk how the hell you made it a Billy Ocean quote, it was mine
and anyway, if you think Laugh Now, Cry Later and the War & Peace material and Raw Footage 'suck', I don't know what to tell you. Early 90s Cube spoiled y'all, and now if any album didn't live up to the first 4, it is considered a failure. Nah bro. Only one album sucked (Rep that West) and the other was distinctly mediocre (one of the War & Peace discs)
Anyway if you wanna argue Nas is more consistent, sure. But that's only because Nas has been on an unspectacular trail much of his career, whereas Cube has more spectacular works, so his peak was higher and anything else was destined to be a more substantial drop off than it is for Nas.
Hmm their top 5 combined I'd say
1. Illmatic
2. Death Certificate
3. AmeriKKKa's Most Wanted
4. The Predator
5. It Was Written
4 and 5 are close in quality I'd say
The Lost Tapes and Lethal Injection are both highly recommended albums (by me) as well
True
M.O.P. wud like a word with u.
