I think it's time we make a definitive coli top 10 MC list: Round 4

Based on the list, your taste seems to run towards a certain type of rapper.
You know your taste better than I do, so I'll leave it at that.
I will say that you should listen to the Infamous, Hell on Earth and Murda Muzik though.

I own all 3 of these CDs. "Drink away the pain" on the Infamous album is one of my favorite hiphop tracks of all time.

I also liked Hell on Earth to some degree but Murda Muzik was trash IMO. Only thing I remember liking on there was "what's ya poison" and "quiet storm" was alright

Internal Affairs is better than any Prodigy album

Internal Affairs was a great album. You might be right about that. I'd have to revisit IA. But does he have three albums better than HNIC, ROTM and AE? I haven't been able to rock with a Pharoah album since IA and his last one was trash.

he's got the great stuff with Organized Konfusion, especially Stress

Stress was great.
The self titled debut was meh. I think I dubbed Equinox and returned it.

I would probably give P the slight edge overall or idk it is extremely tight

But those two rappers in particular don't rank high on my GOAT list because I think of them as GOAT level MCs in skill but without the discography of those who do belong

Anyway album preferences are neither here nor there. But Prodigy may well have a better discog than Monch, but it is not good enough for him to be in my top 10. I'm talking solo of course because I pay that same courtesy to Ghost and Cube and Scarface in terms of their solo contributions versus group. Their solo discogs hold up.

I voted for Whut? and Muddy Waters. Unsure on Dare as a 'classic' but saying no for now.

Red's first three are beyond certified as far as I'm concerned. Whut is my favorite of the three. Muddy is probably my least favorite.

Muddy Waters is the one to get recognition if any. So that one is obvious. It's his most certified. Whut? Thee Album has the most qualities of a classic in terms of what it brings to the table with regards to influence, impact etc.

Dare doesn't seem to exude any of those. I feel it's the HOE situation all over again lol.

Let me ask you the question. What makes it just as relevant as the other two? Or why did you vote it a classic anyway?

In hindsight I should have asked for 3. I was trying to b very stringent and I knew Dare was least certified. But with some of the fukkery we've had since on these threads, Red should have got 3.
