It is subjective...but pretty much everything we talk about on here is subjective.
Quality of albums should be a pretty big factor in this for everyone.
OBFCL is far and away Rae's strongest asset in this contest :yeshrug:

I feel you on that and if we was basing this off strictly classic albums then Rae is most definitely in the discussion, but this is supposed to be greatest emcees.

Y'all know good and gotdamn well Raekwon has never been mentioned in any greatest emcee discussion ever, but when it comes to moving a down south nikka out the way a lot of NYC/east coast biased nikkas would throw just about anybody from NY in the discussion.

Lol as if Raekwon didn't brand his own style of rap, completely dominate the 90s and stand out amongst a group of all star rappers. Everyone praises his lyricism but now he can't hold a candle to captain cross dresser?

So Raekwon completely dominated the 90s now, huh? :russ:

In the 90s, Rae made one classic, who's classic status is owed just as much to RZA and Ghost, and one certified weed plate when he thought he could really carry the load on his own.

Pusha is nice don't get me wrong but I don't kno if he's top 50
if kendrick, ross and even wayne are in contention then pusha should too. He released his first album in 2002 and has been consistently dope lyrically for the past 14 years . He might not have as big of a solo discography or be as successful but he can out rap those 3 imo. :yeshrug:

But its not that though. It's everything.
Breh. I'm from the Bay. And Too Short is like my dad b/c of that fact :dame:
But it was obvious from jump that we weren't just talking lyrical miracle only rap once we saw SHorts name on the very first poll :russ:

Wow so many holes in your low grade hooker argument. Where do I start?

You wanna credit Ghost so much on OB4CL and rightfully so, just remember that Andre has spent his whole career rapping alongside Big Boi, who is just as responsible for the classic status of Kast albums. Furthermore, are we gonna ignore Rae's contributions to Wu albums (had the most verses on both 36 and Forever) and on Ironman?

And then you imply that Raekwon being the reason for Immobilarity flopping as an album. You must have never heard it because the rapping was by far the best aspect of that album. Yeah RZA is supplying the beats but where would Kast be without Organized Noise?

I referred to dominance in a rapping sense not making a splash in the public eye. He was one of the premier lyricists throughout the decade.

Andre is a better rapper and artist than Rae in my opinion, due to having a superior discography and lyrical skills but Rae is very capable of rhyming up there with Dre.

Yeah breh, i'm not saying Rae is ass

I'm a huge fan of dude

Dre's just a better artist and has had a better career than Rae

I'm pretty sure that's a damn near universal opinion amongst unbiased fans
